This year, Finishing Touch Signs proudly marks 20 years of crafting custom signage and serving businesses across Wisconsin and beyond. From humble beginnings to becoming a leader in the Midwest signage industry, our journey has been one of growth, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

A Legacy of Innovation and Community

Founded in 2005 by David Guld and Dylan Alwin in Wausau, WI, Finishing Touch Signs started with a vision of creating high-quality, custom signage solutions. Just two years later, in 2007, we expanded our operations to the Wausau Industrial Park to keep up with our rapid growth.

By 2015, our growth continued to accelerate, leading us to relocate to a larger facility in the Kronenwetter area. These years cemented our reputation as a trusted partner for businesses looking to enhance their visibility and brand presence.

Overcoming Challenges and Thriving

In 2019, Tom Diedrick transitioned from the sales team to become the owner of Finishing Touch Signs. With his guidance, the company stayed true to its founding values while exploring new opportunities for growth and innovation.

In 2020, amidst the global pandemic, Finishing Touch Signs demonstrated remarkable resilience. Despite economic uncertainties, we not only retained our footing but also gained traction, proving the strength of our team and the trust of our clients.

A Permanent Home and a Bright Future

In 2023, we purchased a new building with the goal of creating a permanent space to expand our capabilities and better serve our customers. By 2024, we had officially moved into our new home at 5111 Sherman St, Wausau, WI—a milestone that symbolizes our dedication to continued growth and excellence.

As we celebrate 20 years in 2025, we look back with gratitude and forward with excitement. These two decades have been filled with challenges overcome, milestones achieved, and relationships built. With nowhere to go but up, we remain committed to bringing custom signage solutions to Wisconsin and its surrounding states for many years to come.
